Our proactive efforts, inclusive of an organized set of interventions are focused on the needs of a chronically ill and compromised patient population.<\/p>\n<h4>Our program is under the medical direction of Dr. Stephen Goldfine of Samaritan Palliative Medical Care.<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding: 0 20px 10px 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/laurelbrookrehab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2022\/11\/chronic-illness-doc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"228\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-14933\" \/><em>Dr. Stephen Goldfine is a board-certified palliative care physician with more than 30 years of experience. Since 2003, he has served as Samaritan\u2019s chief medical officer. <a href=\"https:\/\/samaritannj.org\/about-samaritan\/leadership\/\">Dr. Goldfine<\/a> oversees the care of the nearly 11,000 patients served by Samaritan each year through hospice care, palliative medicine, and primary care at home. In addition to his senior leadership role, Dr. Goldfine serves as Samaritan\u2019s liaison with the medical community and provides direct care for patients at home, at hospitals, and in long-term care communities. Dr. Goldfine is certified by both the <a href=\"http:\/\/aahpm.org\/\">American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theabfm.org\/\">American Board of Family Practice<\/a>, with added qualifications in geriatrics and hospice and palliative medicine.
